There is no specific diet that people with rheumatoid arthritis, should follow
- Researchers have identified certain foods that can help control inflammation
- Many of them are found in the Mediterranean diet

- Fish is high in omega-3s & those that regularly eat fish high in omega-3s are less likely
to develop rheumatoid arthritis (RA). For those who already have the disease, marine
omega-3s may help reduce joint swelling and pain. - Popcorn is a good source of fiber, which can help relieve the gastric issues often associated with rheumatoid arthritis,
- White flour is fortified with folic acid, which helps break down homocysteine, an amino acid
in the blood that may promote atherosclerosis, the build up of artery clogging plaque
which can be common in those with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Night Shade Vegetables
- Some people feel that Nightshade vegetables -
eggplant, peppers, potatoes & tomatoes

- High Glycemic Index Foods
- MSG
A flavor-enhancing food additive most commonly found in prepared Asian food & soy
sauce. It can also be added to fast foods, prepared soups,soup mixes, salad dressings
& deli meats
- Omega 6 Fatty Acids are found in these oils: Corn, Safflower, Sunflower, Grapeseed,
soy,mayonaise & many salad dressing - Processed Foods
Avoid processes foods like cookies, chips & other snacks that are high in unhealthy fats - Red Meat
- Salt
No more than 1500 mg daily - Sugar - Processed
Don't buy Asperatame OR anything with 'ose' on the ingredient list - Trans Fat
Look for Hydrogenated Oils on ingredient labels
