ZAATAR & LEMON GRILLED
CHICKEN THIGHS
INGREDIENTS
For the Zaatar Seasoning:
- 1 T Oregano (dried)
- 1 T Thyme (dried)
- 1 T Cumin (ground)
- 1 T Sesame Seeds
- 1 T Kosher salt1 T Sumac (optional)
For the Chicken - 16 Chicken thighs (boneless) (skinless) (about 3 lbs)
- 1/4 C Lemon Pepper (Tessemae’s Pantry)
- 4 Oregano (fresh) (sprigs)
- 2 Lemons (halved)
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Make Zaatar, combining all ingredients in a small bow.
- 2. Pour the Lemon Pepper into a 9x13 baking dish.
- 3. Add the chicken, turning to coat.
- 4. Sprinkle each piece of chicken on both sideswith Zaatar seasoning.
- 5. Add the fresh oregano sprigs & cover.
- 6. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes & up to 1 day.
- 7.Heat your grill to medium-high.
- 8. Grill chicken until cooked through, turning over once, about 5 minutes on each side.
- 9. Place lemon halves on the grill & cook until charred.
- 10. Transfer chicken to a cutting board or plate and squeeze grilled lemons over top
before serving.
