MORE FASTING TIPS FOR YOM KIPPUR
HYDRATION STARTS THE MORNING BEFORE YOM KIPPUR
Begin drinking water often as early in the day as possible.
Try 8oz every hour.
AVOID
Salty foods, coffee, alcohol, (salad and high fiber foods should be minimized)
DO EAT
Carbohydrates, low salt foods, potatoes, rice, bread, lots of fruits.
STATE OF MIND
- Avoid talking about how hungry you are and food in general.
- During the day of Erev Yom Kippur try to not dwell on the fast.
- Even if you are not convinced of it tell yourself that you will have no problem with fasting
