- Diet is difficult to maintain
- Since the diet is low in carbs it may effect your memory & mood
- Since there is no dairy foods allowed, you will need to take calcium & vitamin D supplements
- You can't 'wash' & 'bench' (say grace after meals) if you can't eat grains
- Some say the long term results aren't proven yet

RAW FOOD DIET
- Cooking food & breaking down its enzymes leads to losing many of the food's nutritional benefits
- Food that is cooked or heated above 116 to 118° F is not allowed

5. Sprouted grains. - The plan allows you to eat as much as you want, as often as you want as long as it is raw
& vegetarian
PROS
- Nutritionists praise the focus on fresh produce & avoidance of processed foods
- Weight loss is achievable
CON
- If you're not eating any animal-based product like meat, fish, eggs. poultry or dairy,
you're missing Vitamin B12 which your body needs to transform fat & protein into
energy - You will need to take calcium & vitamin D supplements since there is no dairy in this diet
- Some nutritionists say the diet is lacking in nutrients
- Others say it is difficult to sustain
BE AWARE
Some raw foodists
- Drink unpasteurized milk
- Eat cheeswe made from raw milk
- Eat raw fish & meats
This can be risky since these foods can carry foodborne-illness bacteria
