& are usually well tolerated by most people

SIDE EFFECTS
- Cough
- Higher blood potassium levels
- Low blood pressure
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Drowsiness
- Weakness
- Abnormal taste (metallic or salty)
- Rash
MOST SERIOUS
& RARE SIDE EFFECTS
- Allergic reactions
- Decrease in white blood cells
- Kidney failure
- Swelling of tissues
ACE INHIBITORS
ARE NOT USUALLY PRESCRIBED FOR
- Pregnant women - may cause birth defects
- Men or women who have bilateral Renal Artery Stenosis since it may worsen Kidney function
- Men or women who have already had a severe reaction to ACE inhibitors
One you stop taking ACE inhibitors,
it may take up to a month
for your harsh cough to go away
