3 Ways To Remove Stains from Enamel Cookware
- Method # 1 Getting those ugly stains off your favorite enamel pot or pan is really simple
1. All you need is a quart of water & 2 T of baking soda
2. In your enamel pot or pan bring the water to a boil & add in your baking soda
3. When the water returns to a boil, stir & let the mix simmer
4. Use a wooden spoon to scrape the burned areas off the pot
5. Then pour the solution down the drain
6. Rinse the pan or pot with hot water & wipe dry
7. Your pot will be stain-free & ready for the next time you need to use it - Method # 2 is to remove the stains involves denture tablets
1. Fill the pot or pan with warm water & depending on the size of the pot or pan, drop in"
1 or 2 denture tablets
2. Wait a bit & once the fizzing has stopped your cookware will be clean - Method # 3 is to soak the pan overnight in salt water
1. Then boil salt water in the pan the next day
2. The stains should lift right off
Cleaning Wooden Cookware
- There are a number of benefits to using wooden utensils
- They don't scratch your cookware or conduct heat
- However they can be trickier to clean than all-pupose plastic spoons or spatulas
1. Rub down the wood with a slice of lemon to eliminate strong flavors that may have
seeped into the wood
2. Don't put your wooden wares in the dishwasher because prolonged exposure to
steam & hot water can lead to cracking
3. A little bit of soap & hot water will help but make it a quick soak

3 Ways To Clean Aluminum Cookware
- To protect aluminum cookware from discoloration, never wash it in a dishwasher or let it soak
in soapy water for long periods of time - To remove interior discoloration
Method # 1 is to fill the pan with water, add 1 T cream of tartar or 1 T lemon juice per
quart of water & simmer until the discoloration is gone
Method # 2 is with a mix of 2 T cream of tartar dissolved into 1 quart (1 liter) water
& then bring the mixt to a boil inside the pot & boil for 10 minutes
Method # 3 to mix 1 t white vinegar for every cup of water needed to cover the
stains & let it boil for a couple of minutes, then rinse with cold water
Cleaning Glass Cookware
To get cooked-on food stains off your glass ovenware
- Fill them with 1 part vinegar & 4 parts water
- Heat the mix to a slow boil
- Let it boil at a low level for 5 minutes
- The stains should come off with some mild scrubbing once the mixcools

- Soak them in 2 C white vinegar for 30 minutes
- Then rinse them with hot, soapy water followed by a cold water rinse
