DESERT FRUIT SALAD
INGREDIENTS

2 C Pineapple (fresh) (cubed)
1 Pint Strawberries (fresh) (hulled) (sliced)
2 Kiwifruit (peeled) (sliced)
3 Bananas (medium) (sliced)
2 Oranges (peeled) (sectioned)
1 C Grapes (seedless) 1 Pint Blueberries
SAUCE:
⅔ C Orange juice (fresh orange)
⅓ C Lemon juice (fresh)
⅓ C Brown sugar (packed)
½ t Orange peel (grated)
½ t Lemon peel (grated)
1 t Vanilla extract (pure)
DIRECTIONS
-
1. In a sauce pan, bring to boil all the ingredients for the sauce except vanilla; simmer
5 minutes.
2. Add vanilla & cool.
3. Meanwhile, in a large clear glass salad bowl, arrange fruit in layers in order listed.
4. Pour sauce over fruit.
5. Cover and refrigerate several hours.
