APPETIZER
Stuffed Mushrooms
With Pistachios & More
Yields Approximately 20 appetizers
INGREDIENTS
- 20 Mushrooms (medium)
- 3 T Onions (mined)
- 1/2 C Butter OR margarine (divided)
- 1/3 C Bread crumbs (dry)
- 1/4 C California pistachios (shelled) (finely chopped) (roasted) (salted)
- 2 T Parsley (chopped)
- 1/4 t Marjoram (crushed)
- 1/4 t Salt
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Remove stems from mushroom caps; finely chop stems.
- 2. Saute stems & onion in 1/4 cup butter until tender
- 3. Add bread crumbs, pistachios, parsley, marjoram & salt.
- 4. Mix well.
- 5. Spoon stuffing into mushroom caps.
- 6. Place on baking sheet; drizzle with remaining melted butter.
- 7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes or until hot.
NOTES
- Pistachio - Stuffed Mushrooms can be broiled instead of baked.
- Broil 6 inches from heat for 5 minutes until browned & thoroughly heated.
