Passover Seder table in a Passover hotelPage 2

WHAT THE AD SAID
A program was advertised on a specific island in Hawaii
at a specific luxury resort.

WHAT THEY SAID NEXT
The website stated that the resort's renovations
won't be totally completed before Passover.

Even though the resort would be open
& servicing other guests, they thought it best to move the program.

ASSUMPTION
The typical Passover Program would operate in the NEW location

TRUTH
The program was moved to a different island.

Discounted rates were offered at two city hotels
one being more modest & the other more luxurious.

The program had a synagogue set up in one of the hotels
which would be a 5 minute walk from the other hotel.

Seders, lunches & dinners would be available for a separate fee.

The program continued sporadic print advertising
using the exotic photo of the first resort.

WHAT THE AD SAID
A NEW tour operator advertised a luxury hotel on the water
with all the rooms, dining room, synagogue, classes,
entertainment & day camps in 1 building.

WHAT HAPPENED
A few weeks later, the NEW tour operator announced on the website
that the program was moving to a different resort nearby.

TRUTH
The NEW location for the program was not on the water.

It had several buildings spread out over the property
with a lot of walking required between the rooms
& the dining room, synagogue & classes.

The NEW location's rating was far below that of the original location.

The rates for the NEW location were higher.

The program cancelled about a week after this change in location was announced
but continued their ad on Jewish Travel Sites beyond the dates of Passover.

The crowd ended up smaller than expected& as a mix of 'black hat' & 'modern' guests.

with many of the rooms located a long walk
& not always on smooth pavement from the dining room, synagogue, etc.
