& accidentally use a dairy dressing?

or throw it
away - If is a glass bowl you may take the utensil (Keilim) to the Mikvah & Toival (dip)
it there

May a dishwasher be koshered?
- Most authorities permit koshering plastic with pouring boiling water (hagalah).
(Igros Moshe 2:92; Chelkas yaakov 2:160). - The ingredients of the cleaning agents include caustic substances that are deemed
to neutralize (pogem) any absorption (blios) of prohibited items. - In addition, if not koshering,if this would involve significant financial loss, it is even more
acceptable to kasher it. - To kasher the dishwasher, it must first be thoroughly cleaned.
1. During the cleaning make sure that the cleaning agent seeps into the cracks & crevices where water may not necessarily reach.
2.Then activate the dishwasher at maximum heat for a full cycle.

Our 2 year old opened her bottle of milk
& spilled it on my plate during dinner.
It was a meat meal & I still had meat on my plate
- If the milk was not hot & the meat on the plate was not hot,
just throw out the food
& milk on the plate & the plate is ok - If either the milk or meat were hot, throw the plate away

We have pareve silverwear in our house.
What do we do if a pareve fork was used to eat meat?
- If the meat was not hot you don't have to do anything.
- If the meat was hot then the fork is now a meat fork & no longer a parve fork.

If a non-kosher pot or dishes have been put away
& not used in many years are they acceptable with koshering?
- The basis for this opinion is the Chacham Tzvi (Siman75) who writes that if a pot is not
used for more than 12 months, the absorbed taste (taam) in the pot completely dissipates. - Even if the pots were used to cook spicy food (davar charif), after 12 months the absorbed taste of the non-kosher will not be restored & the food would remain kosher.
- However, the Chacham Tzvi writes that there is still a Rabbinic requirement to kasher a pot,
lest one become confused & conclude that non-kosher pots may be used without koshering
Igros Moshe (Y.D. 11:46) disagrees & writes that if one follows the basic premises of the Chacham Tzvi, there is a basis to permit using the pot after 12 months without koshering
at all. - However, Rav Moshe acknowledges that most authorities do not accept the ruling of the Chacham Tzvi & they hold that there is no difference between a pot that has not been used
for 24 hours & one that has not been used in fifty years. - Nevertheless, Igros Moshe writes that in case of great necessity, one may combine the
opinion of the Chacham Tzvi with other mitigating factors, to be lenient. In such cases,
a rabbi should be consulted as to whether kasheringis required.
